The Confederation of British Industry

Credibility seriously damaged by trying to stage manage Euro polls. Heavily (politically) influenced by pan-European companies and the Labour Party (Knighthoods are at stake here!)- recently under fire from many of its own 14,500 members who refuse to toe the CBI line with regard to Europe. Is no longer seen as an independent voice for British industry. For the small business viewpoint (representing around 140,000 small to medium sized businesses) pay a visit the Federation of Small Businesses.

The European Movement  

An aggressively  pro-European organisation that spends lots of money on expensive Brussels-engineered propaganda - the home of Messrs Heath, Hesseltine, Clarke and Robin Cook. A real quality team! Has consistently failed to win any ground anywhere in spite of major corporate and Government support. Britain in Europe does a better job.

The European Commission 

This is a complex of linked sites managed by Brussels (many overtly delivering propaganda, a lot of which is - uncomfortably - aimed directly at children). A flood of data on how the EU is spending your money (but be aware you have no right of challenge on any of the EU projects). This is the true government in Europe so you had better have a look - they know where you live! The EU's UK representative is right here.
